Activities
- Create a Self-Portrait: Have the student draw a picture of themselves using the blank paper and crayons or colored pencils. Encourage them to include details that represent their unique features and personality.
- Favorite Things Song: Play a favorite song of the student (or a simple children's song) and ask them to dance or move around to the rhythm. Afterward, discuss their favorite parts of the song and why they enjoy it.
- Where We Live: Show the student a world map (or a map of their country/region) and explain where they live. Point out their location and ask them to find it on the map. Encourage them to share interesting facts about their hometown or country.
- Getting to Know You Game: Take turns asking each other questions about favorite colors, foods, animals, etc. Encourage the student to listen actively and respond thoughtfully. This game helps them learn more about their classmates and build connections.
