Activities

  1. Research and Create a Timeline

    Using the internet or books, research the history of migration in Australia. Create a timeline that highlights significant events and waves of migration. Include important dates, key migrant groups, and their contributions to Australian society.

  2. Interview a Migrant

    Find someone in your community who is a migrant or has a migrant background. Prepare a list of questions to ask them about their experiences, why they migrated to Australia, and how they have contributed to society. Conduct the interview and take notes.

  3. Write a Short Story

    Imagine you are a migrant arriving in Australia. Write a short story about your journey, the challenges you faced, and the contributions you made to your new community. Be creative and include details about the culture and traditions you brought with you.

  4. Create an Artwork

    Using any art medium of your choice (e.g., drawing, painting, collage), create an artwork that represents the diversity and contributions of migrants in Australia. Think about symbols, colors, and images that can convey this message.
