No prior knowledge of government or citizenship is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Create a Minecraft Government: Have the student design and build their own government structure in Minecraft. They can create different branches of government, such as legislative, executive, and judicial, and build corresponding buildings or areas for each branch.
- Role-Playing Government: Have the student invite a friend or family member to join their Minecraft world. Assign different roles, such as mayor, judge, or citizen, and encourage them to interact and make decisions based on their assigned roles. This activity will allow them to experience the functioning of a government firsthand.
