Activities
- Alphabet Hunt: Go on a scavenger hunt around the house to find objects that start with the letter A. Encourage the student to say the name of each object and emphasize the initial sound.
- Letter Tracing: Write the uppercase and lowercase letter A on the whiteboard or paper. Have the student trace the letters with their finger or a marker. Repeat multiple times.
- Art with A: Provide the student with a sheet of paper and some art supplies. Encourage them to draw pictures of things that start with the letter A, such as an apple, an ant, or an airplane.
- Letter Sorting: Prepare a set of flashcards with various letters, including the letter A. Ask the student to sort the cards into two piles: letters that are the same as A and letters that are different.
