- Valentine's Day Story Time: Read Valentine's Day themed books to the student. Discuss the characters, emotions, and lessons learned from the stories. Ask the student to share their favorite part of the story and why.
- Counting Hearts: Draw or print out heart shapes on blank paper. Ask the student to count the number of hearts on each page. Help them write the corresponding numbers next to the hearts.
- Valentine's Day Science Experiment: Fill a clear glass or jar with water and drop a few drops of different food coloring into it. Ask the student to observe what happens when the colors mix. Explain that just like colors mix, people's feelings can mix too.
