Activities
Play a game of "I Spy" using English words. Take turns describing objects in the room using simple English words and have the student guess what you are describing.
Create a fun alphabet scavenger hunt. Hide objects around the house that start with each letter of the alphabet. Have the student find the objects and say their names in English.
Sing English nursery rhymes together. Choose popular nursery rhymes and sing them together, emphasizing the pronunciation of English words.
Read a picture book in English. Choose a colorful and engaging picture book and read it aloud to the student. Pause occasionally to ask questions about the story and encourage the student to respond in English.
Engage in a role play activity. Pretend to be characters from a favorite story or movie and have a conversation in English. Encourage the student to use simple English phrases and sentences.
