Short Story: The Lost Puppy
Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a little puppy named Max. Max was a playful golden retriever who loved to explore the world around him. One sunny morning, Max saw a butterfly fluttering by. Excited, he chased after it. He ran and ran until he realized he was far away from home.
Max looked around and saw many things he had never seen before. There were big trees, colorful flowers, and even a sparkling stream. He felt a little scared, but then he remembered his owner, Lucy, calling his name. He decided to find his way back.
As Max walked, he met a friendly cat named Whiskers. “Hello, little puppy! Why do you look sad?” Whiskers asked. Max replied, “I chased a butterfly and got lost. I want to go home!”
Whiskers smiled and said, “Follow me! I know the way back.” Together, they walked past the big trees and colorful flowers until finally, they reached Max’s house. Lucy was waiting outside, worried but relieved to see her puppy return home safely. Max wagged his tail and thanked Whiskers for helping him. From that day on, Max and Whiskers became the best of friends.
