Instructions
Welcome to Math Art! In this worksheet, you will explore the creative side of mathematics by combining both art and math concepts. Follow the activities below and let your imagination shine while you apply your math skills!
Activity 1: Geometric Patterns
Draw a geometric pattern using at least five different shapes (triangles, squares, circles, etc.). You can use a ruler or a compass to make your design precise. Below, sketch your pattern and label each shape with its name.
Activity 2: Symmetrical Designs
Create a design that displays symmetry. This can be vertical, horizontal, or radial symmetry. Below, illustrate your symmetrical design and write two sentences explaining where the symmetry occurs.
Activity 3: Math in Nature
Find a natural object around you (like a leaf, flower, or fruit). Observe and note any patterns or shapes that you see. Describe how math is represented in your chosen natural object.
Activity 4: Measure and Create
Using a ruler, measure the lengths of the sides of a book or a box you have at home. Then, draw a rectangular shape based on your measurements and color it in creatively!
