Simple Sentences
A simple sentence contains a subject and a verb and expresses a complete thought. For example:
"I enjoy reading."
Compound Sentences
A compound sentence consists of two simple sentences joined by a conjunction (such as "and," "but," or "or"). For example:
"I enjoy reading, and I like writing."
