Problem 1: Flat Tire
Your team's first task is to fix a flat tire. When you check the tire, you notice it is squishy and doesn't hold air.
Steps to Fix:
- Use the pump to check if you can inflate the tire.
- If it won’t inflate, you need to remove the tire from the bike.
- Check for any punctures or holes in the inner tube.
- If you find a hole, use a patch kit to repair it.
- After it is patched, put the tire back on and inflate it to the right pressure!
Problem 2: Loose Chain
Your second task is to fix a loose chain. When you pedal, you hear a clicking sound and the chain keeps falling off.
Steps to Fix:
- First, inspect the chain to see how loose it is.
- Use a wrench to tighten the rear wheel if needed.
- Make sure the chain is properly aligned with the gears.
- Check for any rusty or damaged links and replace them if necessary.
- Finally, give the chain some oil for smooth movement!
Problem 3: Squeaky Brakes
Your last task is to fix squeaky brakes. When you squeeze the brakes, they make a loud squeaking noise which might be annoying!
Steps to Fix:
- Start by checking the brake pads for wear and tear.
- If they're worn down, you will need to replace the brake pads.
- Next, clean the brake area with a cloth to remove any dirt.
- Adjust the brake tension by twisting the adjustment screw.
- Test the brakes to make sure they work quietly now!
Have fun and remember to work together as a team! Good luck on your bike repairs!
