1. Choose Your Topic
Think about a topic you feel strongly about. It could be something you want to change, like school lunches, or something you really love, like your favorite animal. Write your topic here:
2. State Your Opinion
Explain how you feel about your topic. What is your opinion? Make sure to be clear and strong in your statement!
3. Reasons to Support Your Opinion
Write at least three reasons why your opinion is important. Each reason should support your opinion and help persuade your reader.
4. Counterargument
Think about what someone who disagrees with you might say. Write down their argument here, then explain briefly why you disagree with it.
5. Conclusion
Finish your persuasive writing piece with a strong conclusion. Remind your reader why your opinion is the best and what you want them to do or think about.
