In this activity, you will practice writing dialogue and indirect speech. Follow each section carefully and have fun!

Part 1: Writing Dialogue

Imagine you are having a conversation with your friend about your favorite book. Write a short dialogue (at least 4 lines) between you and your friend. Remember to use quotation marks!

Part 2: Converting Dialogue to Indirect Speech

Look at the dialogue you wrote in Part 1. Now, rewrite it in indirect speech. For example, if your friend said, "I love this book," you can write, "My friend said that she loves that book."

Part 3: Create Your Own Scenario

Think of a fun scenario (like a picnic, a birthday party, or a trip to the zoo). Write a short dialogue (at least 4 lines) for this scenario.

Part 4: Indirect Speech for Your Scenario

Now, convert the dialogue you created in Part 3 into indirect speech.
