Activity 1: Writing Dialogue
Imagine a conversation between two friends, Mia and Lucas, who are discussing their favorite hobbies. Write down this dialogue in the box below. Remember to use quotation marks!
Activity 2: Changing Dialogue to Indirect Speech
Now, take the dialogue you wrote in Activity 1 and change it into indirect speech. For example, if Mia said, "I love painting," you could change it to: Mia said that she loves painting. Write your indirect speech version below:
Activity 3: Fill in the Blanks
Below are some sentences that you need to complete using indirect speech. Fill in the blanks:
- Lucas said, "I enjoy playing soccer." → Lucas said that __________.

Activity 4: Your Own Dialogue
Write a short dialogue between two characters of your choice. Be creative! After writing the dialogue, transform it into indirect speech below.
