Instructions
Welcome, Jacob! Today, we're going to learn about the seasons and how they change throughout the year. We'll create a phenology wheel to help us understand how plants and animals behave in different seasons. Follow the steps below:
- Gather your materials. You will need a round piece of paper, colored pencils, or crayons.
- Divide the wheel into four sections, one for each season: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
- In each section, draw pictures of what you see or do in that season. Think about the weather, activities, plants, and animals.
- Label each section with the name of the season and a few words describing your drawings.
- Share your wheel with someone! Talk about what you love most about each season.
Examples
Here are some ideas for what you can draw in your phenology wheel:
- Spring: Flowers blooming, baby animals, rain showers
- Summer: Sunshine, swimming, green trees
- Fall: Leaves changing colors, harvest time, pumpkins
- Winter: Snowflakes, ice, warm drinks by the fire
