Read the short story below about a girl named Wednesday. Then, answer the questions after the story!
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Wednesday. She had long, dark hair and loved to wear black dresses. Wednesday was not like the other kids at school. While others played tag and sang songs, she loved to explore the spooky parts of the playground.
One day at kindergarten, Wednesday found a big, old tree. It looked very interesting! She decided to look inside the tree's trunk. Guess what she found? A tiny, friendly ghost named Pooky!
Pooky the ghost loved to play hide and seek. Wednesday and Pooky played all day, hiding behind the swings and under the slide. Giggles filled the air as they ran around. Other children joined them, and soon everyone was having fun! Even though Wednesday was different, she made new friends thanks to Pooky.
At the end of the day, Wednesday waved goodbye to Pooky and promised to play again. She learned that being different is wonderful, and friendship can come in unexpected ways!
