Understanding Meekness
Meekness is often misunderstood as weakness. However, being meek means:
- Showing humility without drawing attention to oneself.
- Being open to listening and accepting feedback from others.
- Having the strength to control one's own emotions and reactions.
Reflection Questions
- Think about a time when you showed humility. What circumstances led to that moment? How did it make you feel?
- Can you recall a situation where listening to someone else’s opinion improved your understanding? What did you learn from it?
- In what ways do you find it difficult to control your emotions, especially in challenging situations? How can practicing meekness help in those moments?
Personal Application
Choose one of the situations mentioned in the reflection questions and create an action plan on how you can apply meekness in a similar scenario in the future. Include the following:
