Read the following passages and complete the activities to help you discern the voice of the Holy Spirit from the enemy. Reflect on the differences between the two and apply them to your life.
Passage 1: John 10:27
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Activity: Write down your thoughts on what it means to hear and recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit. How can you make sure you are listening closely?
Passage 2: 2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Activity: List three characteristics of the Holy Spirit’s voice based on this verse. What feelings does the enemy’s voice create in contrast?

Passage 3: Romans 15:13
