Reading Passage
Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a friendly elf named Elara. Elara was known throughout the village for her magical baking skills. Every morning, the sweet aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries filled the air, making everyone's mouth water. People would line up outside her bakery before sunrise to buy her famous golden cookies, which were said to bring good luck.One day, a young boy named Timmy wandered into the forest near the village. He had heard stories of a hidden magical spring that could grant any wish to those who found it. Timmy had always wished for a bike, and he hoped to find the spring and make his wish. As he wandered deeper into the forest, the path became narrower, and the trees grew taller. Suddenly, Timmy heard rustling in the bushes. Out came a small, playful creature with shiny fur and big, round eyes. It had a fluffy tail that looked like a spring. The creature hopped around Timmy, chirping happily.
"Hello there, little creature," Timmy said, reaching out his hand. The creature nuzzled Timmy's hand gently. "What are you?" Timmy asked. The creature didn't answer but instead hopped ahead, gesturing for Timmy to follow. Timmy decided to trust the creature and followed it deeper into the forest. After a few minutes of walking, the creature stopped at a clearing. In the center of the clearing was a sparkling spring with water glimmering in the sunlight.
"Is this the magical spring?" Timmy asked the creature. The creature chirped and nodded its head. Timmy closed his eyes, made a wish, and cupped some water in his hands to drink. When he opened his eyes, the creature was gone, but he heard a faint voice saying, "Remember, kindness is the greatest magic of all."
Timmy returned to the village, where he found a shiny new bike waiting for him outside his house. He never saw the creature again but never forgot the lesson he learned that day.
