Instructions

Choose one of the three characters: Harry, Hermione, or Ron. Write a diary entry from their perspective. Consider their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Use the character's voice and think about how they would express themselves. Your entry should be at least four to five sentences long. Remember to include what they are thinking about, any particular challenges they are facing, and what they hope for the future.

Character Analysis Prompts

  • Harry: How does he feel being the "chosen one"? What are his fears and hopes?
  • Hermione: What pressures does she experience with her studies and being a friend? How does she balance her responsibilities?
  • Ron: What insecurities does he have compared to his friends? How does he deal with feelings of being overshadowed?

Writing Tips

  • Use first-person perspective ("I" statements).
  • Focus on emotions, thoughts, and personal experiences.
  • Consider the character's relationships with others.
  • Be creative and have fun with it!

Example Diary Entry

(This is an example for inspiration; please write your unique entry.)

Dear Diary,
Today was another crazy day at Hogwarts. I feel so much pressure being the "chosen one." It's like everyone has their eyes on me, waiting for me to do something heroic. I wish I could just be a normal kid for once, but then again, I wouldn't trade my friends for anything. They're always there for me, especially Hermione and Ron. I hope that we can figure out how to defeat the dark forces together because I don't know what I would do without them.

- Harry
