Read the passage carefully and answer the questions that follow.Passage:
Emily had always been a shy girl who found it hard to make friends. She spent most of her days reading books and helping her mother with chores. One day, while exploring the attic of their old house, Emily came across an old, dusty box. Inside the box was a beautiful black cat with a white patch over one eye.The cat, whom Emily named Whiskers, became her constant companion. Whiskers was more than just a pet; she was Emily's best friend. Together, they would explore the woods near their house, climb trees, and have long conversations. Emily loved Whiskers because she never judged her and always listened to her stories.
One summer afternoon, while Emily and Whiskers were out exploring, they stumbled upon a small, injured bird. Emily carefully picked it up and took it home. With Whiskers by her side, she nursed the bird back to health. After a few weeks, the bird recovered and flew away. Emily felt proud of herself for helping another creature in need.
From that day on, Emily realized that kindness could come in many forms. She learned that even the quietest and shyest people could make a big difference in the lives of others.
