The Little Bear's Big Jar

In a cosy, little cottage at the edge of a big, green wood lived a little bear named Barnaby. Barnaby loved one thing more than anything else in the world: honey. He had a special, big, blue jar that he always kept full of sweet, golden honey.

One sunny morning, Barnaby woke up and wanted a big spoonful of honey for his breakfast. He went to his cupboard, but the big, blue jar was not there! His heart sank. He looked under his bed. He looked behind the curtains. The jar was gone.

Barnaby felt a tear roll down his furry cheek. He decided he must be brave and go look for it. He put on his favourite red boots and walked out into the wood.

He soon saw his friend, Squeaky the squirrel, sitting on a branch. "Squeaky, have you seen my big, blue honey jar?" asked Barnaby.

"I saw Rabbit rolling something blue towards the river this morning," chattered Squeaky.

Barnaby thanked his friend and hurried towards the river. There, by the water, was Rabbit, trying to wash mud off the big, blue jar. "I found it stuck in the mud!" Rabbit explained. "I was cleaning it for you."

Barnaby was so happy! He gave Rabbit a big bear hug. Together, they carried the jar home, and Barnaby shared his honey with the helpful Rabbit.
