Answer Key

  1. 1,245 + 876 = 2,121 books

  2. 8,500 - 1,250 = 7,250 metres

  3. 12 × 144 = 1,728 pencils

  4. 348 ÷ 6 = 58 bags

  5. Step 1: 450 - 175 = 275 apples
    Step 2: 275 + 200 = 475 apples

  6. Step 1: 8 × 30 = 240 students
    Step 2: 240 ÷ 5 = 48 teams

  7. Step 1: 4 × £9 = £36
    Step 2: £50 - £36 = £14 change

  8. 125 ÷ 8 = 15 with a remainder of 5.
Each student gets 15 stickers, and there are 5 stickers left over.
