Shanghai Fun Facts!
Shanghai is a giant city on the coast of China. Long, long ago, it was just a small fishing village. Now, it's one of the biggest cities in the whole world! A river called the Huangpu River flows right through its center. A famous path next to the river is called The Bund, where you can see fancy old buildings on one side and super tall, futuristic skyscrapers on the other!
Even with all its new buildings, Shanghai still has beautiful, old places like the peaceful Yu Garden, a traditional garden with ponds and cool rock formations. And you can't talk about Shanghai without mentioning the food! The most famous snack is the xiaolongbao (say: shao-long-bao), which are yummy steamed soup dumplings. Be careful when you bite, they are full of hot, tasty soup!
