Instructions
Dear Caregiver, this activity is designed to be an interactive experience with your one-year-old. Sit together in a comfortable spot. Read the words aloud in a clear, happy voice. Use your finger to point to the words and shapes. Encourage your child to point too. The goal is to talk, smile, and connect!
Say the word aloud and point to the matching face. Can you make a happy face?
Point to the parts of the face on the paper. Then, help your child point to their own eyes, nose, and mouth!
Answer Key
This worksheet is an interactive tool. The "answers" are the actions you and your child take together. The goal is language exposure and interaction.
- Section 1 - Happy and Sad: The caregiver should point to the happy face `:)` when saying "HAPPY" and the sad face `:(` when saying "SAD." Encourage the child to point to the face you name.
- Section 2 - My Face: The caregiver should point to each box while saying the word (EYES, NOSE, MOUTH). The main activity is to then guide the child to touch their own eyes, nose, and mouth.
