Instructions
Dear Parent or Caregiver,
This worksheet is designed to be a fun, interactive activity to do with your one-year-old. The goal is to introduce simple words about people's faces through pointing and repetition. Sit with your child, speak clearly, and make it a playful game. There are no right or wrong answers, only opportunities for connection and learning!
- Use your finger to point to the pictures as you say the words.
- Encourage your child to point too. Gently guide their hand if they need help.
- After the worksheet, find a mirror and point to your own and your child's eyes, nose, and mouth.
Activity 1: My Face
Point to a part of the face below. Say the word clearly (e.g., "Eyes!"). Encourage your child to point to the picture, and then to their own eyes.
Activity 2: Point to the Nose!
Ask your child, "Where is the nose?" Help them point to the picture that has a nose.
Activity 3: Find the Happy Face!
Point to the happy face and say, "Happy!" with a big smile. Then ask your child, "Can you point to the happy face?"
