Part 2: Parts of a Robot
Robots have special parts that help them work, just like a car has parts. For example, the main frame that holds a car together is called the chassis. A robot also has a body or frame to hold all its parts.
Match the robot part on the left with its job on the right. Draw a line to connect them.
| Robot Part | Job |
|---|---|
| Controller (The Brain) | Moves the robot's arms and wheels. |
| Sensor (The Senses) | Gives the robot energy to work. |
| Motor (The Muscles) | Holds all the robot parts together. |
| Power Source (The Energy) | Thinks and follows the code. |
| Body / Chassis (The Skeleton) | Senses things like light, sound, and touch. |
Part 3: What is Code?
Code is a set of instructions that tells a computer or robot exactly what to do. Following code is like following a recipe or a map. A set of instructions that repeats is called a pattern.
Help the robot get to the battery! Follow the code of arrows to draw the correct path on the grid. The robot starts at the star (★).
