Notes: A daily routine is the set of things you do every day, usually in the same order. For example: you wake up, brush your teeth, eat breakfast, and go to school.

Topic 3: Prepositions of Place

  • next to: beside something (The lamp is next to the sofa.)
  • between: in the middle of two things (The ball is between the shoes.)

Topic 4: Contractions

Notes: A contraction is a short way to write two words. We use an apostrophe ( ' ) to show where letters have been left out. For example: do not becomes don't. it is becomes it's.

Topic 5: Punctuation

Notes: Punctuation helps us understand sentences.

  • A comma ( , ) separates items in a list.

Part F: Add the Punctuation

Notes: We use these words to connect ideas.

  • or: shows a choice (Do you want juice or water?)
  • so: shows a result (It was cold, so I wore a jacket.)
