Instructions
Read each step carefully and in order. Do not skip ahead! Use a pencil so you can make corrections. Your drawing will be revealed once you have completed all the steps. Good luck!
- In the center of your drawing area, draw a large, vertically oriented oval. The bottom of the oval should be slightly wider than the top, similar to the shape of a pear or an avocado. This will be the main body.
- About one-third of the way down from the apex (the very top) of this shape, draw three large circles in a horizontal row. The circles should overlap slightly, with the left and right circles tucked just behind the central one. These are the eyes.
- Inside each eye, draw a smaller, solid black circle for a pupil. To give your character a funny expression, make the left pupil look towards the top-left, the middle pupil look straight ahead, and the right pupil look towards the bottom-right.
- Directly below the central eye, draw a wide, crescent shape for a mouth. The points of the crescent should curve upwards, creating a generous smile.
- Inside the mouth, along the bottom curve, draw three small squares to represent teeth. Space them out evenly.
- From the apex of the main body shape, draw two long, sinuous (wavy) lines that extend upwards and outwards.
- At the end of each wavy line, draw a small, hollow circle to finish the antennae.
- On the left and right sides of the main body, about halfway down, draw two short, tubular arms extending outwards.
- At the end of each arm, where a hand would be, draw three small, sharply pointed triangles to serve as claws.
- From the wide base of the body, draw two short, thick rectangles for legs. Ensure they are parallel to each other.
- At the bottom of each leg, attach a semi-circle for a foot. The flat side of the semi-circle should be on the bottom, as if it is resting on the ground.
- Finally, add some texture to your creation's body. Draw about ten small, randomly placed circles of different sizes across its main body to create a spotted pattern.

What did you draw?
If you followed the instructions correctly, your page should now feature a drawing of a friendly, slightly goofy-looking alien or monster.
Here is a detailed description of the final image:
- The creature has a large, pear-shaped body that stands upright.
- It has a single row of three large, overlapping eyes. The pupils are looking in different directions, giving it a comical, confused expression.
- It has a wide, happy smile filled with three blocky teeth.
- Two long, wavy antennae with circles on the tips sprout from the very top of its head.
- Its arms are short and stubby, ending in three sharp claws instead of hands.
- It stands on two short, stout legs with simple, rounded feet.
- The entire body is covered in a pattern of different-sized spots.
