Activity 1: Fun Facts about Ancient Egypt
A long, long time ago, there was a land called Ancient Egypt. It was located in Africa along a very long river called the Nile River. The rulers of Egypt were powerful kings and queens called Pharaohs. They built giant, triangle-shaped tombs called Pyramids to be their final resting place. The Egyptians didn't write with letters like we do; they used a special picture-writing called hieroglyphics! They also believed in preserving bodies for the afterlife, creating what we call a mummy.
