A common noun is a general person, place, or thing (like boy, school, holiday). A proper noun is a specific name for a person, place, or thing and must always be capitalized (like Alex, Lincoln Elementary, Christmas).

An adjective is a describing word. It tells us more about a noun (a person, place, or thing), like its color, size, or how it feels.
Underline the adjective in each sentence.

- I read a scary story before bed.
Part 4: Sentence Super Sleuth!
Every complete sentence needs two things: a capital letter at the beginning and an end mark (like a period . or a question mark ?) at the end.
