The Magical Compass
Leo loved exploring the woods behind his house. One sunny afternoon, while chasing a butterfly, he stumbled upon a small, dusty wooden box hidden under a big oak tree. Inside, there was a beautiful old compass made of brass. It didn't point North like a normal compass. Instead, the needle spun wildly and then pointed towards a rickety-looking rope bridge over a small creek.
Feeling adventurous, Leo followed the compass. He crossed the wobbly bridge carefully. On the other side, the compass needle pointed to a hollow log. Leo peeked inside and found a small, smooth, glowing stone. As soon as he picked it up, it felt warm in his hand. Suddenly, he could understand the chirping of the birds and the chattering of the squirrels. They were all saying "hello" to him! The compass had led him to a magical listening stone.
Leo spent the rest of the afternoon talking to his new animal friends. He promised to keep their secret safe and returned the stone to the hollow log so other adventurers could find it one day.
