Answer Key

As this worksheet is a personal exploration activity, there are no single "correct" answers. The answers will be unique to each child. The goal is completion and creative expression. Below are examples of what a completed section might look like.

  • My wonderful first name is: The child should write their first name (or make their best attempt) and decorate it colorfully.
  • Who picked my name?: The child might draw a picture of their mom, dad, grandparents, or another family member.
  • Why is my name special?: The drawing could be of anything! Example: If named after their grandmother, they might draw a picture of themselves with their grandma. If named after the character "Peter Rabbit," they might draw a bunny.
  • What does my name mean?: The drawing should reflect the meaning discussed with the parent/guardian. Example: If the name is "Stella," which means "star," the child could draw a picture of stars in the night sky.
  • My family name is: The child writes their last name. In the box below, they should draw a picture that includes themselves and members of their family.
