Sparky the Baking Dragon
In a cozy cave at the top of a grassy hill lived a little dragon named Sparky. Sparky was not like the other dragons. While other dragons practiced roaring and breathing hot fire, Sparky liked to bake. Instead of fire, a puff of warm, cinnamon-scented air came out of his nose when he was happy. It was perfect for baking the most delicious chocolate chip cookies.
One sunny afternoon, a girl named Maya was walking her dog, Pip, near the hill. Suddenly, she smelled something wonderful. It smelled like warm cookies and sweet cinnamon. "What is that amazing smell, Pip?" she wondered. Pip wagged his tail and led her up the hill, right to the entrance of Sparky's cave.
Maya peeked inside. She was a little scared when she saw a dragon, but this dragon wasn't scary at all. He was wearing a chef's hat and humming a happy tune while pulling a tray of cookies out of a stone oven. Sparky saw Maya and smiled. "Hello! Would you like a cookie?" he asked in a friendly voice. Maya smiled back, no longer afraid. She and Pip went inside and shared the warm, magical cookies with their new dragon friend.
