Answer Key
Because these activities are based on your choice of book and your own imagination, there are no single correct answers! Your answers will be unique. Here is some guidance to help you check your work.
Part 1: Reading Comprehension
- Main Characters: A good answer lists the characters who are most important to the story's plot. These are the characters the story focuses on.
- First, Next, Last: Your summary should include the most important events from the beginning, middle, and end of the text. Check that you have put them in the correct order and captured the main idea of the plot.
- Character's Feelings: Your answer should identify an emotion (like joyful, relieved, disappointed, or anxious) and explain *why* the character feels that way, using clues or evidence from the story.
Part 2: Character Profile
- This section is all about creativity! If you chose a character from a book, your details should match what you know about them from the story. If you invented a character, your details should create a clear and interesting picture of their personality. The best profiles have details that feel connected and believable for that character.
