1. Nouns (Naming Words)

A Noun is a word for a person, a place, or a thing. Examples: teacher, school, apple.

Activity: Circle all the Nouns in the box below.

2. Verbs (Action Words)

A Verb is an action word. It tells you what someone or something is doing. Examples: hop, sing, play.

Activity: Underline the Verb in each sentence.

3. Adjectives (Describing Words)

An Adjective is a describing word. It tells us more about a noun. Examples: big, red, silly.
