Part 1: Complex Sentences

A complex sentence is made up of an independent clause (a complete thought) and one or more dependent/subordinate clauses (an incomplete thought). These clauses are linked by a subordinating conjunction.

Write three original sentences using the conjunctions because, although, and when. After writing each sentence, underline the subordinate clause.

Example: Although it was raining, we decided to go out.
