Instructions
A verb is an action word! It tells what someone or something does. Read the instructions for each leafy activity below and show what you know about verbs!
Part 1: Find the Action!
Read each sentence below. Find the verb (the action word) and circle it.
- The brown leaf falls slowly from the branch.
- We rake the leaves into a huge pile.
- A cool wind blows through the tall trees.
- My dog jumps into the crunchy leaf pile.
- Squirrels gather nuts under the oak tree.
- The leaves float on the water in the puddle.
Part 2: Leafy Match-Up
Draw a line to match the noun on the left with a verb (an action) it can do on the right.
