Reading Comprehension
Read the short passage below and answer the questions that follow.
The archerfish is a true marvel of the animal kingdom. Found in the mangrove swamps of Southeast Asia and Australia, this clever hunter has a unique method for catching its prey. It stalks insects and small spiders resting on leaves above the water. Once it has its target in its sights, the archerfish squirts a powerful and remarkably accurate jet of water from its mouth. This jet can travel up to 1.5 meters! The force of the water knocks the unsuspecting insect into the stream, where the archerfish promptly gobbles it up. Young archerfish have to practice a lot to perfect their aim, learning to account for the way light bends at the water's surface.
- Where can you typically find the archerfish?
- What is the archerfish's unique method for hunting?
- Why do young archerfish need a lot of practice?

Math
Number Mysteries:
- a = 16 (since 31 - 15 = 16)
- b = 7 (since 56 ÷ 8 = 7)
- c = 9 (since 45 ÷ 5 = 9)
Shape Challenge:
- Perimeter: 38 meters (2 x (12 + 7) = 2 x 19 = 38)
- Area: 84 square meters (12 x 7 = 84)
Word Problem Workout:
Sam has 26 stickers left. (Step 1: 48 ÷ 4 = 12 stickers given to Lily. Step 2: 48 - 12 = 36 stickers remaining. Step 3: 36 - 10 = 26 stickers left.)
