Leo Finds a Friend

Leo was a young lion with a very fluffy mane. But Leo was shy. While the other lions played loud roaring games, Leo liked to sit quietly under the big acacia tree. He loved watching the clouds drift by and imagining they were different shapes, like rabbits and fish.

One sunny afternoon, a tiny meerkat named Mia scurried up to the tree. She wasn't shy at all. "Hello!" she squeaked. "What are you looking at?"

Leo was surprised. He pointed a paw towards the sky. "That cloud looks like a giant ice cream cone," he whispered.

Mia tilted her head and looked up. "It does! And that one looks like a wiggly snake!" she giggled. They spent the rest of the afternoon finding funny shapes in the clouds together. Leo learned that making a new friend wasn't so scary after all.
