Mission Briefing: Become the Boss of Your Week!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take control of your time. A great plan helps you get your schoolwork and chores done, while making sure you still have plenty of time for friends, hobbies, and relaxing. By the end of this worksheet, you will have a clear, actionable plan to make your week less stressful and more awesome. You are the project manager—let's get started!
Step 1: The Brain Dump
List everything you need to do this week. Think about all areas of your life. Use the categories below to help you brainstorm. Don't worry about organizing them yet, just get all your tasks out of your head and onto the paper!
School & Homework: (Example: Finish math worksheet, Study for science quiz, Read Chapter 5 of English book)

- ____________________________________________________________________
- ____________________________________________________________________
Chores & Home Responsibilities: (Example: Walk the dog, Clean my room, Take out the trash)

Step 2: Prioritize Your Tasks
Not all tasks are created equal. Look at your list from Step 1 and decide which category each task falls into. This will help you know what to work on first.
- High Priority (Must-Do): These are urgent and important tasks with deadlines, like homework due tomorrow or studying for a test.
- Medium Priority (Should-Do): These are important but not urgent. Things like cleaning your room or working on a project that's due next week.
- Low Priority (Could-Do): These are things you'd like to do when your other tasks are finished, like watching a movie or starting a new hobby.
Now, rewrite some of your key tasks from Step 1 into the correct boxes below.
| High Priority (Must-Do) | Medium Priority (Should-Do) | Low Priority (Could-Do) |
|---|---|---|
Step 3: Build Your Weekly Blueprint
Time to schedule! Fill in the calendar below. Start by blocking out things you can't change, like school hours and sports practice. Then, add your High Priority tasks first. Find spots for your Medium Priority tasks next. Finally, see where your Low Priority fun activities can fit in. Remember to schedule breaks and free time!
| Time | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday | Sunday |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Morning | School | School | School | School | School | ||

Step 4: The Weekly Review (Complete at the end of the week)
A good plan can always be improved! Look back at your week and answer these questions. This will help you make an even better plan next week.
1. What was the biggest success of your plan this week? (What worked really well?)
2. What was the biggest challenge? (What didn't go according to plan?)
3. What is one thing you will change about your plan for next week?
⭐ Challenge Quest (Optional) ⭐
The "What If?" Scenario: Your friend calls on Wednesday afternoon and invites you to the park, but you had planned to study for your science quiz. What do you do? How could you adjust your schedule to do both? Describe your new plan below.
Answer Key
Since this worksheet is personalized, there are no single "right" answers. Use this key to check if you are on the right track.
- Step 1: The Brain Dump: A good list will have at least 2-3 items in each category (School, Chores, Personal). Great job if you included specific assignments and deadlines!
- Step 2: Prioritize Your Tasks:
- High Priority: This box should contain tasks with clear deadlines, like "Math homework due Tuesday" or "Study for Friday's test."
- Medium Priority: This box could have tasks like "Clean room before the weekend" or "Work on history project due next week."
- Low Priority: This is for flexible, fun activities like "Play video games" or "Watch a new movie."
- Step 3: Build Your Weekly Blueprint: A successful blueprint is realistic. It should show your High Priority tasks scheduled first. It should also include time for meals, rest, and fun. It's a sign of a great plan if you didn't pack every single hour with activities. White space is good!
- Step 4: The Weekly Review: Your answers should be thoughtful. For example, a good answer for #2 might be, "My biggest challenge was underestimating how long my history reading would take." A good answer for #3 could be, "Next week, I will schedule an extra 30 minutes for history reading."
- Challenge Quest: A strong answer will show problem-solving. For example: "I could tell my friend I can go for one hour. Then, I could move my science studying from Wednesday afternoon to Wednesday evening after dinner. Or, I could study for 30 minutes before I go and 30 minutes when I get back." This shows you can be flexible without ignoring your responsibilities.
