Part 1: Comparing Things! (Comparatives & Superlatives)
A. Super Rules to Remember
We use special adjectives to compare things.
- Comparative Adjectives: Used to compare two things. We usually add -er to the end of short adjectives (like taller) or use the word more before long adjectives (like more beautiful). They are often followed by the word "than".
- Superlative Adjectives: Used to compare three or more things. We usually add -est to the end of short adjectives (like tallest) or use the word most before long adjectives (like most beautiful). They often have the word "the" before them.
Examples:
- A lion is stronger than a cat. (Comparing two animals)
- The blue whale is the largest animal in the world. (Comparing one to all others)
- This book is more interesting than that one. (Comparing two books)

Part 2: How Much or How Many? (Quantifiers)
A. Super Rules to Remember
- Many / A few: Use with things you can count (countable nouns). Example: many dogs, a few apples.
- Much: Use with things you cannot count (uncountable nouns). Example: much water, much time.
- A lot of: Can be used with BOTH countable and uncountable nouns. Example: a lot of dogs, a lot of water.
- Some: Use in positive sentences for both countable and uncountable nouns. Example: I have some friends. I need some sugar.
- Any: Use in questions or negative sentences for both countable and uncountable nouns. Example: Do you have any friends? I don't need any sugar.

Part 3: Who Does It Belong To? (Possessive Pronouns)
A. Super Rules to Remember
Possessive pronouns show that something belongs to someone. They replace a noun. They are: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs, its.
- This book is my book. → This book is mine.
- That is your pencil. → That is yours.
- The blue car is their car. → The blue car is theirs.
Remember: Possessive pronouns never use an apostrophe (').

Part 4: More Than One! (Plural Nouns)
A. Super Rules to Remember
- Rule 1: Most nouns just add -s. (cat → cats)
- Rule 2: Nouns ending in -s, -x, -ch, -sh add -es. (box → boxes, church → churches)
- Rule 3: Nouns ending in a consonant + -y, change the y to i and add -es. (baby → babies)
- Rule 4: Nouns ending in a vowel + -y, just add -s. (boy → boys)
- Rule 5: Some nouns ending in -f or -fe change to -ves. (leaf → leaves, wife → wives)
- Rule 6: Irregular Nouns: Some nouns change completely! (man → men, child → children, mouse → mice)
- Rule 7: No Change: Some nouns stay the same. (sheep → sheep, deer → deer, fish → fish)

Part 5: Talking About Yesterday (Simple Past Tense)
A. Super Rules to Remember
The simple past tense tells us about something that has already happened.
- Regular Verbs: For most verbs, we add -ed to the end. (walk → walked, play → played)
- Irregular Verbs: These verbs are tricky and change in special ways. You have to memorize them! (go → went, see → saw, eat → ate)

Why Students Should Take Part in Activities at School
Think about all the fun things you can do at school besides classes, like joining a sports team, a club (like art or science club), or being in the school play. Write a short essay explaining why it is a good idea for students to join these activities.
Try to include:
- An introduction that states your main idea.
- At least two reasons why activities are good for students. (For example: making friends, learning new skills, having fun, being healthy.)
