- Grab a Partner: Find a classmate, parent, or study buddy. One of you will play Person A (visiting Indonesia) and the other will play Person B (the Indonesian host/shopkeeper). If practicing alone, speak both parts out loud using different voices!

Mission 1: The Time-of-Day Greeting
Scenario: You meet someone at 2:00 PM. In Indonesia, the greeting changes depending on the time of day!
- Morning (6 AM - 11 AM): Selamat pagi (Suh-lah-mat pah-gee)
- Mid-day (11 AM - 3 PM): Selamat siang (Suh-lah-mat see-ahng)
- Late Afternoon (3 PM - 6 PM): Selamat sore (Suh-lah-mat soh-ray)
- Night (6 PM onwards): Selamat malam (Suh-lah-mat mah-lahm)
Your Spoken Task: Roleplay a quick passing greeting on the street.
- Partner A (in Indonesian): Greet Partner B appropriate to the current real-world time of day, then ask how they are (Apa kabar?).
- Partner B (in Indonesian): Respond that you are well (Saya baik-baik saja), and say thank you (Terima kasih).
- Switch roles and try it again using a different time of day!
Mission 2: The Handshake & Intro
Scenario: You are meeting a new classmate from Jakarta. In Indonesia, people often place their right hand over their heart after shaking hands as a sign of respect.
Your Spoken Task: Stand up, shake hands, and perform this exact dialogue out loud.
- Partner A (English): "Good morning! My name is [Your Name]. What is your name?"
- Partner B (Indonesian): "Selamat pagi! Nama saya [Partner B's Name]. Apa kabar?"
- Partner A (English): "I am doing great, thank you! How are you?"
- Partner B (Indonesian): "Saya baik-baik saja, terima kasih!"

Scenario: You are sitting at a bustling Warung (a traditional Indonesian street-side food stall). You want to order some delicious food!
Menu Options:

Your Spoken Task: Partner A is the customer. Partner B is the food vendor.
- Partner B (Vendor - in Indonesian): Greet the customer (Selamat malam!) and ask what they want to eat.
- Partner A (Customer - in Indonesian): Say "I want..." (Saya mau...) and name one food and one drink from the menu.
- Partner B (Vendor - in Indonesian): Bring the food and say "Here you go" (Ini dia).

Mission 4: The Ultimate 60-Second Challenge
Scenario: You are traveling in Bali. You walk into a cafe. You must introduce yourself, ask the vendor how they are, order your lunch, and say goodbye—all in one fluid conversation combining both languages!
The Rules:
- No pausing for more than 3 seconds.
- No looking at the paper except for help with pronunciation.
- Use gestures (smiling, bowing slightly) to make it feel authentic.
The Dialogue Flow:
- A: Greeting (matching the current time of day) + "My name is [Name]."
- B: Greeting + "My name is [Name]. Apa kabar?"
- A: "Saya baik-baik saja, terima kasih. How are you?"
- B: "Saya baik. What would you like to eat?"

- Selamat pagi = Good morning (Used from sunrise until about 11:00 AM)
