Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to create your own playlists on Spotify.

Materials and Prep

  • A computer or smartphone with internet access
  • An active Spotify account
  • Basic knowledge of music genres and artists

Activities

  • Activity 1: Explore Spotify

    Open Spotify on your device and spend some time exploring different genres, artists, and songs. Take note of any favorites that you come across.

  • Activity 2: Brainstorm Playlist Themes

    Think about different themes or moods for your playlists. For example, you could create a playlist for studying, working out, or relaxing. Write down your ideas.

  • Activity 3: Select Songs for Your Playlists

    Using the songs you discovered in Activity 1 and your playlist themes from Activity 2, start selecting songs to include in your playlists. Make sure the songs match the theme or mood you have chosen.

  • Activity 4: Create Your Playlists

    Open Spotify and create your playlists. Give them catchy names and add the songs you selected in Activity 3. Feel free to customize the order of the songs and add or remove any as you see fit.
