Materials and Prep

  • White paper or canvas
  • Pencils and erasers
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Reference materials on Greek and Spartan history (books, websites, etc.)

Before starting the lesson, the student should have some basic knowledge about ancient Greece and Spartan history. They can read a brief overview or watch educational videos to familiarize themselves with the subject.

Activities

  1. Research and Sketch

Guide the student to choose a central element or theme for their artwork, such as a Spartan helmet or a Greek temple. They can then arrange other elements around it to create an interesting composition.

  3. Add Details and Color

Once the composition is finalized, the student can start adding details and shading to their artwork using pencils or markers. Encourage them to use colors that are historically accurate or symbolic of the time period.

  4. Showcase and Discuss
