Activities

  • Create a timeline: Have the student gather information about important events in black history month. They can use books or websites to research and write down key events on separate pieces of paper.
  • Arrange the timeline: Once the student has gathered enough events, they can arrange the pieces of paper in chronological order to create a timeline. They can use a long sheet of paper or tape the pieces together.
  • Decorate the timeline: Using colored pencils or markers, the student can add illustrations or symbols to represent each event on the timeline.
  • Presentation: After completing the timeline, the student can present it to a family member or friend, explaining the significance of each event and why black history month is important.
