Materials and Prep

  • Book about apples
  • Pen or pencil
  • Plain paper

Activities

  1. Read a Book: Start by reading a book about apples. Pay attention to the pictures and the words. Try to understand what the book is telling you about apples.
  2. Draw and Label: Take a piece of plain paper and draw a big apple in the center. Around the apple, write or draw things that you know about apples. For example, you can write "red," "juicy," or "delicious."
  3. Write Sentences: Using the information you learned from the book, write three sentences about apples. Include at least one detail about their color, taste, or texture. Remember to use capital letters and punctuation marks.
  4. Share and Discuss: Share your drawing and sentences with a family member or a friend. Talk about what you learned and ask them if they have any interesting facts about apples to share.
