Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the importance of apples in the environment and identify different parts of an apple.

Materials and Prep

  • Fresh apple
  • Knife
  • Plate
  • Paper
  • Crayons or colored pencils

Prior to the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of the different parts of an apple.

Activities

  1. Apple Exploration: Start by examining the apple. Look at its shape, color, and texture. Discuss with your parent/guardian what you observe.
  2. Apple Dissection: With the help of your parent/guardian, carefully cut the apple in half. Observe the inside of the apple and identify the different parts, such as the skin, flesh, core, and seeds.
  3. Apple Art: Take a piece of paper and draw a picture of an apple. Use crayons or colored pencils to make it colorful and vibrant.
