Activities
- Create a Collage: Provide the student with construction paper, scissors, glue, and markers or crayons. Ask them to cut out pictures from magazines or draw and color pictures of different homes. Have them glue the pictures onto a larger piece of construction paper to create a collage of various homes.
- Compare and Contrast: Show the student different pictures of homes, such as a house, an apartment, and a cabin. Discuss the similarities and differences between these types of homes. Ask the student to identify the features that are the same and those that are different.
- Design Your Dream Home: Encourage the student to imagine their dream home and draw a picture of it. Have them include labels for different features, such as windows, doors, roof, and walls. Discuss why they chose those features and what makes their dream home special.
