Week 1
Objective
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to identify primary colors and create a color wheel.
Materials and Prep
- White paper
- Crayons or colored pencils in red, yellow, and blue
Activities
- Introduce primary colors and explain their importance in art.
- Guide the student in creating a color wheel by drawing a large circle on the paper and dividing it into six equal sections.
- Instruct the student to color the three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) in the appropriate sections, and then mix them to create the secondary colors (orange, green, and purple).
