Activities
Warm-up: Start the lesson with a fun warm-up activity. Encourage the student to stretch and wiggle their body while singing a simple song like "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes".
Exploring Voices: Teach the student about different vocal sounds. Show them how to make high and low pitches, soft and loud sounds, and encourage them to imitate you. Sing simple nursery rhymes together and experiment with changing the pitch and volume.
Sing and Dance: Choose a lively song that the student enjoys and encourage them to sing along while dancing or moving their body. You can use simple action songs like "If You're Happy and You Know It" or "The Hokey Pokey".
Storytime Sing-along: Read a favorite storybook to the student and incorporate singing into the story. Create simple melodies or use familiar tunes to sing parts of the story together.
Musical Instrument Exploration: Introduce the student to different musical instruments. Let them explore and experiment with various child-friendly instruments like shakers, tambourines, or a small keyboard. Sing songs while playing the instruments to create a musical experience.
